EXPIRATION DATE

(Brand identity, 2018)

School project to create a visual identity for either an existing or a factitious company/organization in a tri-fold presentation folder format. I created a sunglass company called Expiration Date. Expiration Date is inspired by the filmmaker Wong Kar-wai’s movie Chunking Express and more specifically one of the main characters. A specific line from this main character – “If I put on a rain coat, I wear sunglasses too. You never know if it’s going to rain or be sunny.” was what sparked the idea of a creating a sunglass company.  

The film is largely about dead time, about characters waiting for something to come along and transform their lives and that is where the name Expiration Date came from.
